You know, I don't give a rat's elbow about their dignity and self respect, since most don't appear to have any.
On the contrary, the same self respect that prevents them from accepting any job "beneath them," allows them to expend every waking moment dreaming up new ways to game the system and increase their "free money" income.
I am not sure I believe the CA data.
Liberals have trained us to avoid discussing the fundamentals of poverty:
1. 80% or so of poor households are headed by a single mother without a HS degree who had her first child (father absent) as a teen.
Does morality matter and can you say that sex ed has worked?
2. The poor are not just undereducated, but unintelligent. You can cure the former, but not the latter. How do you deal with someone who won’t ever think well?
Clearly, we need to reform our current education system with the latter in mind. Instead, we just abandon them to the system.
3. Paying for idleness breeds idleness and contempt for work and working people. We’d be better off having the poor sweep streets than sit around watching day time television, getting stoned and having sex.
The 70 year Progressive assault on our once civil society is just about over. After they find the right to fag marriage somewhere in a crease of the 14th Amendment, there will be little left for them to soil.
