The policy is consistent with preventing passengers from carrying swiss army knives and then giving the passengers metal knives and forks. The 9-11 hijackers sat in first class.

I think this is short-sighted, but it's not as bad as some people believe. The US Customs "trusted traveler" program is different from the TSA "trusted traveler" program.

US Customs just allows you to bypass the line to meet with a customs official when you enter the US. You put your passport in an ATM-like machine and get a specially-marked receipt if you are cleared. If a foreign national is willing to go through the paperwork to get approved, I don't think skipping the cursory meeting with a customs official is a big threat.

However, I will admit that I think it's going to be difficult to perform a reliable background check in some countries -- like Saudi Arabia. I'd rather limit this to Western democracies in Europe, Australia/New Zealand, Japan, etc.

The TSA's trusted traveler program is the one that allows you to use the PreCheck line: you don't have to take off your shoes, unpack your laptop, etc. You still go through a traditional metal detector.

If you are a US citizen and are a member of Global Entry (the US Customs trusted traveler programs), you are also eligible for PreCheck. Separately, the airlines are inviting non-citizen US residents to use PreCheck, if they fly frequently.

However, I don't believe people that are neither US citizens or US residents are eligible for PreCheck. So, there is no security loophole there.

The US government is returning us to the conditions that existed on September 10, 2011.

WHY?

1 - Special rules for Saudis to bypass TSA searches for items banned on aircraft.

2 - Allow knives to be brought onboard aircraft.

What could possibly go wrong?

Is Napolitano trying to create another hijacking to justify more tyranny against Americans?

Are they trying to create another hijacking to justify a declaration of martial law before the 2016 presidential election?

Is this a part of a plan to create conditions used to justify gun confiscation and expansion of the police state?

Is this part of a plan to justify Obama’s Domestic Security Force and give them increased power to restrict our freedoms?

No Muslim can ever be a “trusted traveler”. Their embrace of taqiyya and martyrdom prevents it.

Coming home from a week of caring for my recently hospitalized elderly mom in Boston, I was subjected to a scan in which I was ordered to open my carry-on and remove all the toiletries which were all the correct size and sealed in a plastic bag.
Then I went through an X-ray machine.

I thought it was over, but then I was removed from the line and forced to remove my hair combs while a female officer WENT THROUGH MY HAIR WITH HER FINGERS.

I guess I’m not a “Trusted Traveler”

Seems all evidence proves that these a$$hats in DC are trying their damndest to create another “manufactured crisis” so that they can getthe ball rolling even faster on their ultimate agenda and destruction of the US.

Create Division - Check
Create tensions among races and class - Check
Create higher unemployment - Check
Create higher taxes, less income for people - Check
Create blame at everyone but themselves - Check
Create Mid-East turmoil - Check
Fund and Aid our enemies - Check
Open the gates to our enemies - Check

Sit and wait for the crisis to happen....

[Saudi Arabia:] Not Friend or Foe by Daniel Pipes. New York Post May 14, 2002

". . . Saudis have shown themselves wildly sympathetic to [Osama] bin Laden. One American hospital worker in Saudi Arabia reported "Saudi doctors and nurses around him celebrating on 9/11." A confidential survey found some 95 percent of young educated Saudis sympathetic to his declaration of war against the United States."
