Suspects in road rage shooting chase victims into southeast Dallas school By Matt Peterson mpeterson@dallasnews.com 10:43 am on March 20, 2013 | Permalink
Two people fleeing a road rage shooting took refuge at an elementary school in southeast Dallas on Tuesday, police said.
The incident began about 3:30 p.m. when the victims were leaving a Minimart at 136 S. Masters Drive and nearly backed into the suspects car.
You almost hit my vehicle, the unidentified suspect said, before throwing a red brick through the drivers side window, according to a police report.
The brick smashed the window and struck the drivers shoulder. The passenger in the suspects car then exited the vehicle and threw unknown objects at the victims passenger.
The victim tried to leave the scene but returned to the location to call police. Seeing the suspects were still there and still angry the victims left a second time, heading south on Masters.

This is the wrong end of town to start an altercation. I drive through the area twice daily, and during the past few years I've had them tailgate and try to stop me for so much as making eye contact with them. One day I tapped my horn at a young man who ran a stop sign and nearly hit me. It was enough to have him tailgate and honk at me for blocks, finally pulling alongside me and waving a pistol at me as he turned at the next intersection.
Demographics, demographics demographics! They're real and present, whether or not we wish to drown in denial!
Oh you mean DEMObamagraphics.
I understand
This happened in TX.
Why wasn’t the victim carrying?
“....the angry driver pulled out a black handgun and fired twice at the victims, missing them and their vehicle.....Dallas ISD police were called to the scene and ended the altercation by issuing the suspects a citation for assault....”
*****************************************************************
Issued a citation for assault? Haven’t they heard of the crime of attempted murder? And a citation and not an arrest?
FERAL AMERICAN REPORT,,,,, FERAL AMERICAN REPORT.....
Lessee... You're the pilot of a plane and you're going down during school hours. You have a choice of two places to crash your plane: an empty field or an elementary school. These "victims" would've chosen the elementary school.
Okay, enough victim bashing. There is so much wrong with this story, I don't know where to begin.
What ever happened to an armed society is a polite society? Texas is an armed society, no? I guess there is a certain (lengthy) winnowing out period during which most of the bad guys are slowly killed off by their intended victims, and we haven't gotten through it yet, because this crap is still going on every day.
So this is what the 'rats have done for us. Not only do they make all of us vulnerable to a hundred thousand (or more, perhaps?) violent predators freely roaming our streets for the past 50 years, we must now endure another several decades of murders and attempted murders until said predators are slowly eliminated, one by one, by their armed victims... Another reason not only to recognize and honor the RKBA, but to actually mandate it.
They breed faster than we can winnow.
But its a no gun zone, so they would have been safe, right?
There is no way that I could live in that kind of cesspool.
Good luck, stay armed and stay safe.
Read the rest:
Dallas police filed separate reports for aggravated assault.
It sounds like Dallas ISD police cited them for assault, because that's the offense they observed. I'll guess that the victims filed a subsequent complaint with the Dallas city police, resulting in the citation for aggravated assault. I hope that results in an arrest.
Aggravated assault is basically assault with a deadly weapon, although a weapon isn't required. There are some pre-conditions for an attempted murder charge, and the Dallas police might think aggravated assault is the most serious charge they can make stick. However, it's a felony -- enough to make things difficult for this guy for the rest of his life.
