Appearing on MSNBC Thursday, Rep. Charlie Rangel (D-NY) claimed that “millions of kids” are killed by so-called "assault weapons," citing numbers that fall far short of the numbers reported by the FBI, The Blaze reported,
“We’re talking about millions of kids dying — being shot down by assault weapons, we're talking about handguns easier in the inner cities, to get these guns in the inner cities, than to get computers. This is not just a political issue, it’s a moral issue and so when we condemn the NRA we should not ignore the fact that a lot of people that have taken moral positions have been solid on this big one,” he said.
Rangel blamed the NRA and politicians who support the Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms.
“I’m ashamed to admit it but its politics and its money, The NRA has taken this position, there is no reason, there is no foundation. There is no hunter that needs automatic military weapons to enjoy the culture of going hunting,” he said, apparently unaware that it is already illegal for average citizens to own automatic weapons without a special permit.

Rich white men, who never owned a gun.....they are the REAL hotbed!
I know the conventional wisdom is to not attribute malice as a motive when stupidity will serve as well.
However, there comes a point when intentional, repeated ignorance can be attributed to malice, or at least the effects are the same as malice, because the person will not listen to reason, logic, or facts.
