Only days after a sexual assault verdict against two high school football players in Ohio, a small town in Connecticut finds itself split by a situation with many similarities.

In Steubenville, Ohio, the players were accused of raping an underage victim, and convicted March 18.

In Connecticut, Torrington High School football players Edgar Gonzalez and Joan Toribio, both 18, stand accused of the sexual assault of a 13-year-old girl.

And, as in the Ohio case, it's the accusers who are under attack via social media.

I think 17 and 18 year olds are old enough to know not to rape girls and that sex with kids is verboten.

It has nothing to do about being illegal.

It has everything to do with changing the demographics purposely.

More macro than micro.

Thank you Ted Kennedy and Ronald Reagan.

Anyone who expects better judgement from the 13 year old than the 18 year olds is weird

35,000 to 10, annually...but Chuck Todd, the New York Times and Wolf Blitzer will cover as much of that as they possibly can...facts hurt victim narratives.

Better evil and stupid than evil and cunning. At least the stupid evil people get caught.

"What's important too is that school is a place for learning,' Torrington Schools Superintendent Cheryl Kloczko said. "Many times what happens is the Twitter, and the emails, and the Facebook, a lot of that goes on outside of school that we don't even have knowledge of, and then it gets dragged into school and that's a challenge,' Kloczko said.

"Families could help us with more careful use of technology by their children, maybe it wouldn't come into school,' she added.

Torrington, you need to punish those RAPISTS. We should take the lead that even if you are a football star (in CT High School football is not as popular as in FL or TX) if you rape you'll be in trouble!

Torrington, support the kid who reported the rape.

That is why I said they should be held responsible, but do good parents let their middle school daughter associate with high school seniors and juniors?

Ok. So if a Native-American woman is raped by a white male, it’s perfectly logical for her to blame it on Europeans and their leaders in the 1500’s and 1600’s because they purposely changed the demographics of this country,,,right?

Your arguments are spurrious, at best.

Stats prove otherwise.

No they aren’t spurious. You blamed Reagan for this rape. By that line of reasoning a Native-American woman raped by a white male can blame a European or British leader in the 1500’s for it.
