I know you had a difficult history with Mormonism. I agree that the church is screwed up. But I don’t hate Mormons at all and I am thankful to this one brave Mormon student for standing up to the diversity hate bully posing as a professor. If you are really a Christian like you say, you have to forgive Mormons or you won’t heal yourself. You don’t have to forget what happened, but we can’t hate any of God’s children.
You claimed that I made the wrong assumption that maybe Christian students cooperated with this “supreme asshat” (stole that from LaLinda, above). But I think there probably were Christians in that classroom (given the statistics) who did not have the wits about them to understand that is one thing for the professor to spout his own hatred of Christians and it’s okay. But it is another to degree of aggression for the professor to force them to take on and express anti-Christian actions and beleifs, themselves.
I am sure you agree that Christian young people need to be ready for this kind of assualt. It’s getting worse out there. I am so thankful the Mormon student was prepared to not cooperate with that order.
Verbally renouncing Christ has eternal consequences. Trampling pieces of wood doesn’t.
It is wrong for a Christian to cooperate with that whole exercise of hate and wrong for the professor to order it done. I sure hope I would have told him to blow it out Mohammad’s azz. : )
