If only the ‘average’ Black person would study up on what the Africans really ‘think’ about American Blacks, they would NOT want to be called ‘African Americans’.
And I mean PAST the fact that the Africans sold the Africans to slavers, am talking ‘modern times’.
In the same respect, a lot of ‘Irish Irish’ think of us Americans of ‘Irish descent’ as Yanks with an Irish name - bring your money but leave your ‘bad habits’ at home.
I guess if you dig deep enough the ‘original Irish that fled to the Americas’ would be considered having given up the ‘mother land’.....no matter how bad or the reason including those indentured by the British etal.
