He actually said “insatiable”, but the DoEd is staffed with morons.

DoEd probably were embarrassed by Mao's reference to a Marilyn Chambers porn movie and discreetly edited the saying.

I actually suspect that the DoEd bureaucrat assigned to select quotes just googled “education quotes” and thought the Mao quote sounded good.

In the back of his little mind, he probably thought the kids would think that Mao was edgy and cool.

Ignorant of both history and big words like “insatiable”, the bureaucrat botched his assignment.

Or, maybe his boss was embarrassed by the explicit reference to a title in the canon of American pornography. Doubtful, but Washington bureaucrats have been known to spend a whole lot of their work day watching Internet porn.
