the Church’s ban on offering blessings for civil partnerships was being flouted by several parishes across Britain... because some felt the blessings were “logical, natural and compassionate”.

Does the Anglican Bible not contain the book of Leviticus? If it does, do they not believe the Bible to be The Word of God? If they do, how do they square themselves giving blessing on behavior that God has prohibited in Leviticus 18:22? Was God in error?

While they do have an answer for that, they don’t have to give it very often. Just like in politics, the Religious Left never has to deal with any questions about their views. That’s good for them, because they way they dance around both the Old and New Testaments on homosexuality is breathtaking.

You see, really what was prohibited as an “abomination” was temple prostitution. And the Sodomites were really guilty of just being rude to strangers (I guess trying to rape them would qualify as rudeness). No, seriously, I’m not kidding, that’s what they argue. For real. I can’t remember how they handle Paul’s denunciations of homosexuality, but I’m certain it’s at least as absurd.
