“Big private money is flowing into Detroit and conservatives should encourage the rebuilding of the families and faith of Detroiters.”

Remember that billionaire who said he would give Detroit millions to build charter schools? The Detroit commies ran him out of town.

The state sending in a bankruptcy manager is a good first step, but it needs to be followed with investigators arresting those responsible. Punishment must be a part of the solution or it will happen again. There must be consequences to committing crimes. Arrests should start with Granholm.

I agree 100%.

I've also been writing to encourage great black conservatives to get involved and help in restoring the people. I don't like making it race based but I think it has to start there in Detroit.

I agree.

The Feds took fiscal control of DC back for several years when it was way in the red, it worked. I hope this works in D-town.

As a big city dweller this matters to me.

I’m not a fan of cities but the people who live there are Americans and healthy cities are good for America.

I just wish conservatives would reach out to help rebuild the worst of the inner cities. I had dinner with a black Detroit pastor last night and we tossed some ideas back and forth on it.

When Republicans lost the cities it was step 1 in losing America.

Rural areas are back in forth, suburbs are back and forth (and infested with fleeing urban voters who bring their voting habits with them). Major cities are almost entirely socialist dominated. Not just the non-Whites but the Whites too.

Sucks. And makes winning in some states difficult. It’s our biggest systemic problem.

Just watching Detroit news. The Emergency manager took over at midnight and the interim superintendent of DPS got his notice of termination at 12:01 AM. (also 5 other school board members fired)

The people of the entire Metro Detriot area get what they deserve. Half of them wanted free stuff and half of them were too cool to and hip and too lazy to pay attention to what was unfolding.

I am not going to cry for them anymore. They wanted it so much- they got “it” bankrupty- morally, physically, emotionally- everything is gone.
