Sorry, but why does that matter? This is an education problem that is the responsibility of the State of Texas (t least it is at this moment)! Do something about it!

The review process applied to textbooks hasn't yet been implemented for online courses. Believe me the Texas legislature is writing bills to correct the problem right now. The publishers have gotten away with all sorts of outrageous content by requiring school districts and teachers sign non-disclosure agreements about the curriculum with potential criminal and civil liability. The schools and teachers were until a few weeks ago prohibited from disclosing information about the course contents to parents.

You know, I have long since given up on the statements or ideas of Local, State, or especially the Federal Government.

It’s way long past time for our own Local Government to set standards for Local schools! Really way past time to consider other alternatives. That of course requires local parental influence which seems to be at a low these days.

Maybe we should just admit that parents just don’t care these days (keeping it clean here)...or maybe it is because we have too many single parents who don’t either have the time or the inclination to worry about their kids education.

I have given up regrading this - if local parents don’t give a crap about what is going on regarding their own children, why should I? I’m way too old to care anymore!

This was not an online course problem. CSCOPE is state wide and has been in force for several years according to my reading.
