No 1st degree murder charge? Or would that just get plea-bargained away? Go for lesser charges and convictions? Anyone know?
There are no "degrees" of murder in GA.
"Malice murder" is a capital/death penalty offense if the DA elects to seek the DP.
"Felony murder" is murder committed in the course of another crime.
They have charged them with everything they can. You can't impose the death penalty on a minor.
