A group of international hackers, dubbed “Hackers Anonymous,” has vowed to “erase Israel from the Internet” in a coordinated attack against the Jewish state scheduled to take place on April 7.
The campaign, titled #OpIsrael, was initiated and announced by a hacker who goes by the name of Anon Ghost, the Arabian Gazette reported Wednesday.
It is being supported by a number of other known hacktivists who have gained notoriety for carrying out similar state-targeted attacks.
“Israel isn't stopping human rights violations. It’s to show solidarity with newly recognized Palestinian state,” one hacking team told The Hackers Post website, providing rationale for the campaign.
The first #OpIsrael cyber-attacks were launched by the hacktivist group during Israel’s Operation Pillar of Defense in November and affected hundreds of websites, according to the report.

There were two Jewish brothers who ran a junkyard here. I’d go in there with my black hair and beard and a good suntan and they’d take me for a “brother”. It was like “hey we found another Jewish blue collar guy”.

My money is on the Mossad to help any anonymous individuals going too far see the error of their ways.
Maybe a few years from now we’ll have to pay reparations to the families of the hackers for replacing their files with a never-ending stream of porn, which made them neglect their real lives until they no longer had one...oh, wait. That’s why they’re hackers in the first place.
It would be a shame if these hackers accidentally inflicted serious damage on Israel’s enemies, or even if they were blamed for such damage. I hope Israel doesn’t know this is coming, or they might consider it an opportunity. Wouldn’t that be a shame?
