but back then, liberalism meant lesser govt control.....free speech....refusing the draft....stopping war...

but younger people nowadays have never been encouraged to really do critical thinking...its all whatever is going on now and nothing is taught in perspective...
I don't think they understand that their work lives will be spent paying taxes so the bankers can steal us blind, so govt workers can retire at age 48, or earlier, that the tax burden on their children will smother them...
do they understand that giving govts more responsibility in our lives just gives them more authority to take more of their money...that often they take from them and will give to the most lazy slobs, the most undeserving...
At my Catholic high school which I attended in the sixties I distinctly remember a social studies teacher saying what worried him most about current societal and governmental trends was creeping socialism. I don’t know how many teachers like Mr. Sammartano are left in today’s schools.
