No disrespect to Gabby, but it appears that the Navy has thrown away all standards with respect to naming their ships.

Did they not recently also name one after one of our corrupt congresscritters - name not on the tip of my tongue right now? Oh, guess the phrase “corrupt congresscritter” is a big redundant.

How about naming a ship after a Medal of Honor winner, or some other military person who’s done more than ANY congresscritter?

Or, if not, how about the U.S. Obamasux?

Who says Navy ships are suppose to shoot something.

Now days our military is a high tech meals on wheels for their world countries.

Get rid of the terrible guns and make space to send water bottles.

All the Admirals are butt kissers - that’s how they get their positions. Naming ships is now totally political.

Amen...!

If our military leaders would uphold the constitution as they take an oath to do....their would be a lot of presidents and congressmen in jail awaiting charges of “TREASON”.

Absolutely correct. Inept politically correct careerists now run the Navy. Huge peril to the young sailors patrolling the narrow confines of the Persian Gulf in big blue water ships under the shadow of deadly Chinese supplied shore to ship missiles. The fools who run the Navy are facing a bigger debacle than Pearl Harbor.

It's got plenty of firepower. See here, both to project firepower to shore in support of Marine landings, and to protect itself from missiles.

Still, I might like it to have some Phalanx guns to augment the SeaRAM anti-missile defense, and I'd like a couple more mk46 30mm cannons for anti-boat defense, to counter the expected tactic of swarms of PT-type boats.

In order to have a racially and gender balanced military, there must be “make work” jobs.

Should Distrust Of Government Be A Phenomenon Exclusive To Gun Owners?

When it comes to our government and military reporting on our military, I believe NADA, nothing, zilch, zero!

WHY or why should we or the world be privy to that information? It should all be top secret. And I suppose that means that only HALF the planet knows the scoop and not the entire planet.)
