Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) on Thursday joined a group of Republicans threatening to filibuster gun control legislation in the Senate.
“We, the undersigned, intend to oppose any legislation that would infringe on the American people’s constitutional right to bear arms, or on their ability to exercise this right without being subjected to government surveillance,” he wrote in a statement on his website.

Filibuster is fine...just make sure you get enuff dumble support to defeat it...the more soundly the better.

Well, Mr. Rubio and group, you had best filibuster it until the senate is no longer in session, and when it returns you had best do it again.

I beleive you are mistaken. Much of the power of the left is their supposed moral superiority. The fillibuster is a way to break through that and show that they are not moraly superior.
This can be stopped in the house as well as the senate. The 300 Spartans did not die in vain. They gave time to organize the Greek defenses.
All opposition is valuable.
Personally, I believe a filibuster in the Senate is more likely to succeed than a floor vote in the House.
If Boehner allows the measure to come to the floor, every Democrat will vote for it. And 15-20 squishy, lily-livered RINOs will follow.
Accordingly, if the measure goes to the House, we have to depend on Boehner...
