9 On Your Side has new information about the investigations of voter fraud in our state.
5 people in North Carolina are under investigation for possible voter fraud. The State Board of Elections says they are registered in both our state and in Florida.
Voter Integrity Project of NC has researched election records.
The executive director there tells 9 On Your Side the organization has every reason to believe this is just the tip of the iceberg.
The group reports it found more than 300 people who appear to be registered in Florida and North Carolina.
We talked to the State Board of Elections Chief Legal Counsel Don Wright Thursday.
Wright gave us some more details about the 5 voters in question.
He says the SBOE's investigation shows 4 of their voter histories were incorrect. Florida county elections offices say 3 voters signed the wrong lines, giving a false impression that they voted in Florida. Wright says the fourth voter's history was an error, and that he had not actually voted in Florida.
He says it doesn't appear that double voting occurred in those 4 cases, but it is ultimately up to their home county's District Attorney whether to prosecute.
The names of the 5 people currently under investigation haven't been released. Wright says it will become public information if their county's District Attorney decides to prosecute.

Yes, there was fraud there but would it really have changed the election if ROmney had gotten his 100 votes or so in those districts? I think not.
You really have no appreciation for the massive fraud in Philly.
Districts that have more votes than ALL the people that live there.
Voter rolls that have not be purged in decades.
Black Panthers, in uniforms and with clubs, outside polling station (not arrested).
Republicans poll watchers routinely kicked out of polls.
Voting machines left alone with only democrats.
Etc.

Those evil Republicans are at it again, corrupting our voting system and the right of every man, women, child, dog, and inanimate object to express the will of the people to bring social justice to our land. I hope that Eric Holder is paying attention and that true justice will be served.
