North Korea put its rocket units on standby on Friday to attack US military bases in South Korea and the Pacific, after the United States flew two nuclear-capable stealth bombers over the Korean peninsula in a rare show of force.
North Korean leader Kim Jong-un signed off on the order at a midnight meeting of top generals and "judged the time has come to settle accounts with the US imperialists in view of the prevailing situation", the official KCNA news agency said.
On Thursday, the United States flew two radar-evading B-2 Spirit bombers on practice runs over South Korea, responding to a series of North Korean threats. They flew from the United States and back in what appeared to be the first exercise of its kind, designed to show America's ability to conduct long-range, precision strikes "quickly and at will", the US military said.
The news of Kim's response was unusually swift.
"He finally signed the plan on technical preparations of strategic rockets of the KPA, ordering them to be standby for fire so that they may strike any time the US mainland, its military bases in the operational theatres in the Pacific, including Hawaii and Guam, and those in South Korea," KCNA said.
The North has an arsenal of Soviet-era Scud missiles that can hit South Korea but its longer-range missiles are untested. Independent assessments of its missile capability suggest it may have theoretical capacity to hit US bases in Japan and Guam.
The North has launched a daily barrage of threats since early this month when the United States and the South, allies in the 1950-53 Korean War, began routine military drills.
The South and the United States have said the drills are purely defensive in nature

1) If they really believe that they can take a swing at us.
2) If there's some internal trouble (more than usual) in the country, and all this is being done to distract people from it.
In my minds eye, I see Ronald Reagan being asked about this situation and him making a reference to certain individuals glowing in the dark if one missile is detected on a course targeting either South Korea or the United States, along with the resulting outcry from every Commie loving media and Congressional member imaginable.
It goes to prove that what is bad for the US is as bad and worse for the rest of the world.
A US lack of leadership hurts enough here, but becomes catastrophic for everyone ELSE.

Here in the US, the socialists have made a leap by attacking sources of food production to make food more expensive and so economically control the population. War by other means, and having the great advantage of being below the radar, as most people believe food comes from grocery stores.

2- How soon until the RAT party calls for the US to surrender to NK? Then we would have the type of government they think we should have.
Does our “Dear Leader” need his sleep to rest up for a fund raising trip? Otherwise the NORKS could take out LA and his minions wouldn’t waken him for the news.

I saw their "Attack on the US Mainland" map, and these guys are Very VERY Serious. So serious, that the route their missiles will take, according to the map, is the DIRECT ROUTE. No pussy-footing around with great-circle routes... no.... a DIRECT LINE route from NK to the US mainland.
