““As Karimah Elkins and another woman walked from the courthouse, a county police investigator tried to speak with her. Brooks stepped between them and prevented the officer from speaking with the mother, officials said.””

““How is this against the law?” You can’t be serious.””

Since when is it a crime to advise someone not to talk to the police (unless the officer was assaulted in the process)?

Ever since they passed laws against obstructing law enforcement and against influencing a witness in a murder case it has been illegal to obstruct law enforcement in a murder case and illegal to influence a key witness in a murder, my FRiend. He isn’t her legal counsel and he isn’t just some inconsequential party, he’s the acting mayor.

Besides, look at the guy’s rap sheet in comment #14—and furthermore, he’s currently charged with bribery and racketeering himself.

The fact that he’s being held without bond on the witness influencing charge tells us they know he’s connected to the case/family in a very key way. Methinks the Bloods have an O.G. as mayor of the town and the whole sh*t wagon is about to blow.
