Can GOP Reverse the Damage Done by Iraq?

Is the Iraq war to blame for the mess we are in?

Having a weak and spineless population that has learned to love handouts and being taken care of is at fault.......

The “damage done by Iraq” is nonsensical, and the American people don’t care about it.

What did and does damage America, and the American people, is the utterly profligate spending of Democrats and Republicans, combined with the RINO-led effort to turn America into a police state.

The RINOs are downright mystifying. In economics, they seem to totally agree with the most leftist of Democrats, or are at best, neutral to the economic devastation caused by vast overspending. But when it comes to pouring money down the rat hole of domestic intelligence and the 100+ federal police agencies, they are all for it.

To be clear, those imbeciles cannot distinguish between America’s foreign enemies in foreign countries, and good American citizens in America. America should not be at war with Americans in America.

We have enemies in foreign countries. So fight *them*, and fight *them*, *there*. Not *us*, here.

And quit spending money like a really drunk lottery winner in Vegas. Especially because it’s not *your* money.

One can argue about the post-invasion strategy and Bush's lack of defending the war, but there is no doubt that the invasion was necessary. Read this and you will never doubt it again:

Bush Sr. "failed to complete Desert Storm" because his Secretary of Defense (Dick Cheney) predicted that a major U.S. military presence in Iraq would be a "quagmire."

Bush Jr. tossed away a lot of credibility for the GOP because his Vice President (Dick Cheney) was running around telling people that a major U.S. military campaign in Iraq would be a "cakewalk."

I'm still waiting to hear what Dick Cheney learned betwen 1990 and 2003 that made him change his tune so dramatically. What's so pathetic about the whole thing was that the younger Dick Cheney turned out to be right after all.
