Rochelle, France was a Huguenot stronghold. The New Rochelle town library is the Huguenot Library. My Huguenot descended father was born in Mount Vernon, next door. Half the settlers in New Netherlands were Huguenots. The Huguenots, based on bitter experience, were big advocates of the IInd Amendment.

agreed. I learned my Hugenot history from my grandmother, when she took me to the Schwartz ice cream parlor which had painted murals of the Hugenots settling NR. My father grew up in Mount vernon on California rd. It is ashame what has happened to that city too.
NR has some high rise Trump towers now. not sure how successful they have been.
