I’ve never dismissed NK as a non threat. And EMP is just one of the reasons. We very well may have to tangle with them. Points to ponder,
1.They have a huge army.
2.They have, maybe hundreds of thousands of artillery.
3. They do have nuclear weapons, and we don’t know how much of that kind of stuff they may have gotten from the Chinese and Russia. What if they got missiles capable of reaching us from the Russians? Can we be sure they haven’t, either from Russian military brass, or the Russian gangsters?
4. And last, but certainly not the least is motivation. They have a new, young leader. He knows how dictators rise and fall, and cares nothing about anyone but himself. And this is an indication that sanctions have been working, they are creating desperation among his people. Far better to blown away by the enemy while fighting than to be hanged by your own.So, yes, they are crazy enough to do it.

What would we do if NK or Iran tells us that a nuclear weapon has been smuggled into a large American city, and that we must meet their list of demands?

Imagine the public reaction if the president refused to negotiate.

Until recently, I never looked at them as other than a 3rd tier threat; that’s now changed. They just moved-up a noych or two.
