I can't say one name is nore accurate than the other, as they now mean different things, in my opinion. I choose to use 'Resurrection Sunday' because to me, it better sums up my reason for celebration. Easter is a holiday in Canada (Good Friday is a statutory holiday and Easter Monday is a bank and office holiday). It is only for a smaller number of people, that it is a Holy Day. Most people in this city, celebrate 'chocolate' Easter; the easter of eggs and bunnies and sometimes. hot crossed buns and ham, an Obama easter, if you will! The world can have its Easter eggs, Easter bunnie, etc. I'll take Jesus!

Is it better to call yesterday Easter Sunday or Resurrection Sunday?

Given that the name Easter is essentially a transliteration of the Babylonian fertility goddess Ishtar (hence the bunnies and eggs as symbols of the holiday), I choose to call it Resurrection Day.
