A state senator is calling for a legal ban to city membership in groups tied to the United Nation's controversial Agenda 21.
Agenda 21 is the U.N.'s comprehensive plan of global, national and local action to help preserve the environment in the 21st Century. Originally drafted in 1992 with input from the George H.W. Bush administration, the agenda has become a rallying point for tea party Republicans and others concerned about the threat of one-world government.
Typically, the "agenda" plays out in programs to encourage noncontroversial ideas like bike trails, mass transit, sustainable farming and energy conservation, but to its opponents it is a Trojan horse that opens the way for loss of national sovereignty and private land rights.

Common Core is the controversial standardized curriculum program being advocated for by the federal government.

"Noncontroversial"? Only if you're a died-in-the-wool marxist, fellow-traveler, low-info moron, or Democrat. But I repeat myself.
Bike trails -- get everybody out of their autos. Restrict your travel radius. Prevent freedom of assembly.
Mass transit -- infinite tax-dollar-sink for union projects that nobody wants. Then you have to build high-density, high-rise housing adjacent to the mass transit stations. Can't have people living in spread-out suburban or rural settings because that leads to independent living and thought.
Sustainable farming -- high priced, government-approved food by small independent, low-efficiency farms.
Energy conservation -- freeze in your under-heated home in winter or swelter in your under-cooled home; forced to drive your CAFE-approved 55 mpg econobox; pay for parking at your workplace; force you into aforesaid mass transit.
Where I work (occasionally) there is a parking garage with six spots which say “electric car charging station.” Sometimes I park there. Last time, I filled the last spot and none of us was technically an “electric” car. Although Mr. Mercat assures me that my little sports car has electrical systems.
Get a fake extension cord and run it from under your hood.

Though non-profit organizations are usually not required to list their contributors, I wonder if a state could have a financing limit, say $5000, above which such organizations would have to name the donor.
Along with civil and criminal penalties for concealing donations and shared resources.
You know, I never thought of that. I plug my phone into my cigarette lighter in my Expedition...do I qualify to use the “electric car charging station”? If I interpret that to mean “electric car-charging station,” then I’m in the clear! They need to be more explicit and add some small print...”no phone charging allowed.”
It doesn’t say that it is reserved for electric cars. I’ll let you know when I get a ticket.
