Jewish Groups Push for Immigration Reform on Passover Eve

An array of Jewish groups urged President Obama and Congress to ease the path to citizenship for undocumented immigrants.

Nineteen national groups and dozens of local groups and clergy signed on to a letter sent last Friday that was timed for Passover.

“American Jews know too well the impact of restrictive immigration policies, and we have seen how the immigration issue can become a flashpoint for xenophobia,” said the letter, which was spearheaded by the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society.

Signatories represented all four major Jewish religious streams as well as the major Jewish civil rights groups, and the federation and public policy umbrellas.

“We are concerned the failure of national leaders to fix the broken immigration system has fueled racist, nativist, and extremist groups who blame immigrants for our country’s problems, and has been a central factor in the spread of state and local policies and laws that legalize discrimination against immigrants,” the letter says.

By secret, you mean the women asked the clinics to do it without the knowledge of their husbands. And it isn't sterilization.

Minus sterilizing women, I have no problem with Israel’s steps to limit immigration and keep their national identity. Did these Jewish groups raise issue about acceptance and xenophobia with the Israel government, though? My guess is that a double standard is applied.
Most had nothing to say about it. Although some of the left wing ones have called for Israel to help African immigrants.

Actually, New York and New Jersey Jews are voting more and more Republican. It got so bad in NYC, that the Democrats got rid of two Jewish districts to get rid of the Republican-Conservatives representing them.

2 Jewish neighborhoods were hard hit by Sandy. But official Jewry, can only take a breather fellating Obama long enough to make Pharaohs case against the Jews. They aren't acting according to Jewish law or interest. It is a liberal interest group thing. They want fat cat money and government grants. And if they import Muslims and MExicans who hate Jews, they can always ask for more grants.

This is very interesting information. Still, from what you are saying, the preponderance of East Coast Jews are in the pockets of the RATS. We have a similar situation here in the Bay Area. All the Silicon Valley High-Tech firms are run by Secular Progressive Jews ( many of whom were the technical genius behind the products that form the basis for their being). I know, I used to work there. But there alliance, though Jewish in it’s makeup, isn’t the least bit religious. They use their “jewish ethnicity” as a business connection. At the upper levels, they use the fact of their being Jewish as a means of effecting control. You find very few non-Jews in positions of responsibility. If you are not a Jew, you don’t get into the upper eschelons of these companies. And beyond that they are all Liberal/Marxist in their politics. So much to say, they believe that they are THE leaders and the RAT philosophy fits that view.
