Just did some reading and Ixquick and Startpage are two good alternatives (same company). Making the switch from Google to Bing (very brief) to Ixquick!

Thank you for that link. I was aware of the Google/Bing connection but didn’t know what to do about it. I’ve added ixquick to my search engines and will used it from now on.
