Ronald Reagan’s son: legalizing same-sex marriages will lead to “polygamy, bestiality and murder”

The son of former president Ronald Reagan warns in an op-ed published Tuesday that legalizing gay marriage will lead to “polygamy, bestiality and perhaps even murder.”

Michael Reagan, a political consultant, made the claims as he calls on church leaders to stand up and fight against same-sex marriage. …

Legalizing same-sex marriages, he writes, “inevitably will lead to teaching our public school kids that gay marriage is a perfectly fine alternative and no different from traditional marriage.” …

Reagan slams the Republican Party, saying party leaders are too preoccupied with the next presidential election to be concerned about the moral threat that he believes same-sex marriages pose to the country. …

Homosexuals are five times more likely to commit suicide. With “marriage” a portion of that could become murder-suicides or just murders.

>> To be willing to either be celibate, due to singlehood, or keep your sexual activities to your marriage partner requires a fair bit of self-control. The inability to practice self-control makes one more likely to be hostage to one’s emotions. If you’re a hostage to your emotions, you would be more prone to commit acts like murder.

True enough. But, decreeing gay ‘marriage’ legal wouldn’t change any of that.

If gay people lack self-control, and lack of self-control slavery to emotions, and emotional people are more likely to murder ... then we’re already there. Bastardizing marriage to include gay people isn’t going to give them any less self-control than they had before.

Ooooooh, a law.

Just how effective is this law upon the dying and hopeless?

Bit of a stretch ... but that’s the best answer so far.

No, but the easier society makes it to not practice self-control, the less inclined people will be to do so.

Ooooooh, a law.

Yeah, a law. The person I was responding to claimed such info can be kept secret. I pointed out people are required to disclose such info in many/most states.

Like any law, it won't ensure people comply. But it corrects the false statement.

Gay ‘marriage’ wouldn’t make the lack of self-control any easier than it already is. Its everywhere.

If anything, the marriage debate is a lagging indicator. Marriage is being bastardized to fit a degenerate culture, or to solidify it ... not to create one.

Murder by AIDS. Interesting theory.

Not a theory. Fact. I knew this guy, friend of my ex-wife (figures) who was a homo who had AIDS. He was spreading it as far and as wide as he could. No, he wasn't telling anybody, it was on purpose. When I heard he kicked the bucket, the ex was surprised when I told her he should be roasting in Hell...more likely than anybody else I knew at the time. I told her flat out I think he was a murderer.

Its a theory as to why gay ‘marriage’ leads to murder ... not as to whether murder-by-AIDS exists.

It does — though I would think there is at least a minimal amount of contributory assumption of risk. Not enough to absolve the murderer, but enough to wonder why the victim didn’t see the risk.

That's well-reasoned, and I agree. Those are mitigating factors. The litigating factors are premeditation and multiple murders. He got what the State of TX would have given him, minus the cost of the lethal injection drugs. But he also contributed greatly to the spread of the disease. This was back in the '80's, so I suspect the number of deaths he's responsible for is in the thousands.

“I’d be interested to hear how he gets from gay ‘marriage’ to murder.”

In time to come, it is highly probable that those who do not wish to go along with the new homo normal will have to resort to killing the ones that do, and vice versa, since the ones wishing to go to the homo normal cannot allow dissent in order to achieve it. It is the sort of thing that admits little or no middle ground; therefore, the sort of dispute that ends badly. History is full of similar things.

Maybe men will marry other men for their MONEY because GAYS are WAY more wealthy, as a whole (oooo, am I allowed to say that?)than straights.....so maybe the partner would murder to get the money.

I haven’t read Reagan’s thoughts on the subject but here’s another way it leads to murder.
Gay marriage leads to increased acceptance of homosexual behavior, which leads to an increase in the incidence of pedophilia, and then the reconsideration of pedophilia from a medical/psychiatric disorder to a tolerable “difference.” More pedophiles, more child rapes, more deaths.
