Do you think Santorum would have bombed the h*ll out of North Korea by now? Or at least made some sort of meaningful impact?

It's not a simple problem. The Norks have hundreds of thousands of artillery tubes - some loaded with chemical weapons - aimed and ready to fire at Seoul, which is well within their range. We attack the North and we watch tens or hundreds of thousands of South Korean civilians die gruesome deaths within minutes.

My comment was a "tad" tongue in cheek, as Santorum was accused of being too aggressive (or nutz?): http://www.outsidethebeltway.com/rick-santorums-disturbing-foriegn-policy-vision/

That being said, what would your advice be in this regard?

Not only that, which is plenty bad, but any first strike on NK would be the same as an attack on their guardian, China. That's probably the reason we didn't take out these bothersome pukes years ago.

When I was the our Officers told us we could expect 10,000 artillery shells per minute to hit Seoul. Yes, per minute.
