Instead of the Mike Bliss DNQ car, I would be interested in seeing the 1970 Chevelle SS454 and know what it ran!!!

Hey MC, if you had a 1970 Chevelle SS454 would you post photos?

Mountainclmbr....YESSSSS!

MC...I have an old Toyota 4-Runner that I named Beyonce. It is not “really” Beyonce, but just an old 4-runner that yesterday had a spark plug that somehow got loose and blew out taking the threads in the engine with it. I was coming back from Colorado Springs to Golden and the meeting ran late so I was happy I got towing to a repair shop near my home at the late hour. So I have to get heicoil insert kit and a new spark plug after making sure there are not old spark plug parts in the cylinder or other cylinder/head damage. So, here I am, MC, with an Audi S6 on order, but an old dead horse, Beyonce, not moving much till possibly Monday. Buying 2 new cars in the same year? My wife wants a new SUV. The 4-runner Beyonce has only had 2 starters, 2 batteries and 1 brakes in 220K miles before this. I am chalking it up to jealousy.

T.B., I am wondering if your 1970 Chevelle SS454 is not really a Ford Pinto with a leaking gas tank that you had derams of being fast and not “cherry bombing”? Photos would help to clear up this mystery!

And my wife is asking how I drove Beyonce so hard that she broke. I am sure I can get some good advice from you! Not sure what to name the Audi when it gets here.

Hey, thanks MC.

Yes, and to you too Mountainclmbr.

OK, I've showed you mine now you show me yours (he says in a big-boy voice). I haven't named it yet but my wife has. She calls it "mine". Cg_800

Here is what I got in Phantom Black. They use the same V8 Twin Turbo in the S8, but they tune it (probably just the chip in the engine mgt box) to 550 hp.

Correction, the S8 engine is 512hp.

The S6 has a speed limiter that limits top speed to 155 mph. Audi says top speed would be 190 mph without the limiter.

Wow, sounds like you did well with that investment!

Lots of spins in the Nascar Truck race today. Should be an interesting Sprint Cup
Race.

Oh, I have a Pinto picture and an AMC Pacer picture that I plan to post as some of your drag cars if you won’t post any pictures!

That is an incredible car. What and where will it be during winter? spring hasn't official arrived here yet (4-8" of snow at Bachelor tonight) and I'm already trying to think of what to do with the 335i. Anyway, the wife's 13 year old CRV, which had 140K miles on it and had seen her thru thick n thin, went away yesterday and was replaced with this:

front

siderear

It's loaded with all the goodies for her including the sport pkgs. It has the same 300HP twin turbo my 335i has; the dealer said they could put a different chip in it to give her another 30-40 HP. I told em not on their life.

Nice SUV. I am trying to figure out what to do about an SUV that I can haul the dogs in. We are supposed to have a big snow storm coming in on Tuesday. Will need to haul in more fire wood after the race today.

Them were the days.

Some really nice neighbors got a “free” black lab semi-puppy named Tess. That had an old Honda Civic and Tundra truck. Within 3 months of getting the “free” puppy they have had to trade in the Civic for a Honda Pilot (SUV) to the tune of 35K for enough room for the kids and dog. Shots and neutering + two carpet cleanings and this “free” dog has cost them a bundle.
