(Evil doesn't have a day job.)
And I will follow the orders of those appointed above me. Bizarre line included in advert for The US Navy. Kinda see where this is all going...
That line IS in the Oath for Enlisted and Non Commissioned Members of the Armed Forces, but NOT in the Officer's Oath:
I, (NAME), do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God.
Please note though - the first and supreme position is to support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic while the remainder of the oath is subordinate to that position. If you believe that an order given is unconstitutional you are on oath to refuse it.
You will suffer political consequences for it - just ask Michael New.

(The more I learn about the Constitution, the more I realise this Government is UNconstitutional !!)
