I took the time to create a survey related to the Federal Bill of Rights.
I am very curious as to how the current crop of Conservative / libertarians feel on this issue. I would be most gratified if you all could take the time to answer the six or so questions that I created. It has no marketing value or anything like that. Instead, it is designed to test the waters, so to speak, as to whether Americans have just simply given up or are still reared up and full of piss and fight.
Since it’s just your blog and only 6 questions, why not just post them here?
So we have to ‘sign in’ to get the results?
I don’t think so...
>:(
Done.
You need to change the first answer in Question 4. The 13th Amendment outlawed slavery; the 16th Amendment is the one that ruined us with the income tax.
You’ll probably get the results you are wanting by polling FR. How many other anonymous web forums are you surveying?
but ya need to find an anonymous survey site or there likely won't be much participation
Yea. guys lessons learned. I wanted to try the “free” servey app. So I did. Not that great. But OK.
The survey is about the Bill of Rights, so I gave up after the fourth question which is about an amendment that is not in the Bill of Rights.
Of course, that was after the third question which does not offer a good choice in response and seems to imply that there are no right other than natural or unalienable rights. I disagree with that implication.
The responses to the third question need to consider the following:
“It is obviously impracticable in the federal government of these states, to secure all rights of independent sovereignty to each, and yet provide for the interest and safety of all: Individuals entering into society, must give up a share of liberty to preserve the rest. The magnitude of the sacrifice must depend as well on situation and circumstance, as on the object to be obtained. It is at all times difficult to draw with precision the line between those rights which must be surrendered, and those which may be reserved; and on the present occasion this difficulty was encreased by a difference among the several states as to their situation, extent, habits, and particular interests.”
I have to go out for the rest of the day, so if this post draws any comments I won’t be responding soon, if at all.
