A job posting for a McDonalds franchise cashier opening in Massachusetts that required a college degree caused a stir among the media today, with much hand-wringing about job prospects in America, but it was all in error.
Tony Cesolini, assistant manager at McDonalds of Winchendon, a town on the border with New Hampshire, said the educational requirement was an error in the job posting.
Were still trying to figure out how that happened, Cesolini told ABC News. At this time, its misreported information from an independent job offering website.

In nobama’s economy is is not a requirement but a reality of where degreed professionals can find work.
Probably just a joke. People need to lighten up. McDonald’s knows that, in ObamaNation, their cashier jobs are about all that is left out there for new college graduates. Unless you know somebody who can get you a job with the Federal government.
I’ll bet their are a lot of McDonald’s cashiers with degrees in English, Art, Philosophy, Psychology, Drama, Music Education, Womyns Studies, African-American Studies, Latino Studies, LGBT Studies and any other degrees that generally do not translate into real-world jobs.

Good point.
I agree with you, they may need to even bump it up to the Master’s degree level given the sorry state of higher Ed.
Hey, with a BA degree, who knows? They might even get the orders right. For a change.
Would think a BA degree might be a negative for a cashier job?
BA = Bungled Arithmetic
Is it a coincidence that the term “McJobs” disappeared from the MSM in Jan 2009.
I know several college graduates who couldn’t handle the job.
With a doctor’s degree you might quality for shift manager!
