W.H. 'would not be surprised' if North Korea launches missile
Politico ^ | 4/5/13 | DONOVAN SLACK

White House press secretary Jay Carney said Friday that the administration wouldn't be surprised if North Korea followed through on threats to launch a missle.

"We've obviously seen the reports that North Korea may be making preparations to launch a missile. We're monitoring this situation cclosely, and we would not be surprised to see them take such an action," Carney said during a press briefing.

"We have seen them launch missiles in the past and the United Nations Security Council has repeatedly condemned them as violations of the North’s obligations under numerous Security Council resolutions, and it would fit their current pattern of bellicose, unhelpful and unconstructive rhetoric and actions."

North Korea reportedly has moved missile and launch equipment to its east coast, and the regime asked foreign governments Friday to pull their ambassadors from the country, saying it could not guarantee their safety as of April 10, Reuters reports. The North Korean government signaled war is inevitable because of the "increasing threat from the United States" and cited the joint military exercises the United States is conducting with South Korea, according to the Reuters report.

From an “Art of War” perspective, Sun Tzu would not advise NORKs tactics.

From a Texas honky tonk perspective, I didn’t stand there and listen when some lil jerk said that he was going to kick my ass. After all, once intent is threatened, all weapons red and free.

I wouldn’t be surprised if NK launches a missile at us and ODUMBO rushes right out and apologizes for “the United States making them do it.”

It bothers me just a bit that one of the targets is Austin, TX. That’s about 20 miles as the crow flies from my house.

Instead of 5,000 pounds of dope and 82 mexicans jammed into the next tractor trailer smuggled in, it could be something a bit more interesting coming in from Mehico...

I wonder how all the liberals in Austin would feel if a missile were headed at them and the CIC of the USA deals with it like he did with Benghazi - by going to bed.

They’d blame Perry and Bush and Cruz.

Of course if something nasty came across the Mexican border, (which has already occurred and has left tens of thousands of American victims in it's path) it wouldn't they their fault either...

At that point they'd just be innocent helpless bystanders.

I think our prez is a war mongerer, he stirs the pot and starts crap at other peoples expense all the time. Any where from Arab spring, the Israel camus speech, the Wisconsin school strikes, gun control. I think he wants a regime change just as he’s been doing with the Arab Spring. He won’t let this crisis go to waste. He will offer North Korea to China with a bow.

I was thinking about this the other day. When he met with high ranking NK officials did he remove all his piercings and look somewhat normal?

What did these highly disciplined brainwashed people think of him?

What did we do to disappoint you master?

*grovelling*
*kissing of rings*
*prostrating*

We’ll try our best to please you and only you, our savior and messiah!

That’s what they’d do.

“No, not surprised at all. They need a war.”

Well that at least was prefectable 20 years ago when you looked at North Korea deteriorating economic & political situation.
Their like a country of Obama voters in their cult like allegiance to failure and self-destruction.

The only thing keeping that country running for most of the last 50 years was huge Soviet & Chinese subsidies most of which have dried up with the collapse of the soviet union and were never adequately replaced with what they extorted from the Clinton administration.

The truth is this all should have happened in the 1990’s before they had missiles and nuclear technology to make a mess of things. But Clinton gave into their black mail and paid them to not develop missiles which they went ahead and did anyway. One way or the other North Korea is going to collapse, Kim just seems to be making one last ditch attempt for bigger stubsites to keep his regime alive.

Good point.

Dems see a crisis as something ‘not to waste’. Lots of horrors they’ll be able to inflict on citizens in the name of ‘security’...

Of course not. A war of that scale would be dear leader’s wet dream.

Shoul NK collapse, whether by war or economics, the US, Japan, South Korea, and China would have one heck of a welfare relief project for the next year.

It certainly is a suspicious coincidence. But you know, we have other more important things to worry about than North Korea. Gay folks. Gotta keep the focus on gay stuff. That’s all that matters here right now. Well, that and the urgency of getting all those law-breaking er I mean “undocumented” citizens on the path to steaing jobs, er, I mean pthway to citizenship.
