Two men are dead after a shooting at a daycare in Gatineau, Que., that could be related to the recent breakup of a relationship, according to Gatineau's chief of police.

Daycare staff at 225 and 229 Gamelin St. called 911 at 10:27 a.m. ET Friday about a man who was threatening people, according to Chief Mario Harel, who spoke at a 2 p.m. news conference.

The only uplifting part of this story is that the children were taken to a neighbors house, and were fed, while awaiting their parents.

No kids were physically harmed in this apparent murder-suicide and the CBC's lead sentence may be misleading, as only a pro-homosexual media outlet can be. In any case, prayers up for the little souls who witnessed this and for the families of the dead. Thank God none of the tots were killed or injured.

It appears that a man came to a Montessori pre-school in Gatineau, Quebec (aka Hull, QU, across the Ottawa River from Ottawa, ON) with a shotgun, killed a janitor and then himself. The article as written by CBC staff, is cagy as to the relationship between the two men. (Of course the CBC has a very pro-homosexual POV.) Please note that the shooter had been involved with the Director of the school. A quick internet search of the name of the school, Les Racines de vie Montessori, yields a reference to a 'Nathalie' as a contact. The janitor may have been protecting the Director, then was shot and the killer then did himself in. Details are sketchy.

Prime Minister Harper cancelled Canada's multi-billion dollar long gun registry several years ago. All police forces were to destroy all records of ownership. The Province of Quebec has fought this in court and still retains such records. This did not work so well today!

The long gun registry, soon coming to America, courtesy of the folks at 1600 Pennsyvania Avenue!

I thought guns were not allowed in Canada.

Why did you think that?

Have been watching too much Michael Moore. He once said that people don’t harm others in Canada and leave their doors open. And guns? They are locked away neatly and shooting others is just not in their culture.

Officers quickly spotted a man lying on the floor with a shotgun lying beside him, Harel said.

Bidens weapon kills kids.

The world no longer protects it’s children so it’s now open game in schools or anywhere by nutcases and perverts.

Besides....we’re now seeing the end result of taking prayer out of our schools....and anything relating to God....a generation has grown up without God, and now grown... and thus these types of crimes will be multiplying...until even those crimes are no longer shocking but the norm.

Perhaps the parents who are able to do so will take their children out of the care of strangers now.

Sacre bleu! Could this be a gay relationship gone bad? Would the press report it if that were true?

I am not a gun owner and have never hunted, so my knowledge of the firearms laws is limited. From what I've read, the laws are quite complex, listing brands and types of various weapons. A simple rule of thumb I believe, is that handguns, automic and semi-automatic fire weapons, cut back barrel weapons and tasers are classified as either 'prohibited' or 'restricted', as are most martial arts weapons. There are also restrictions on ammunition and magazine capacity. A basic 3-shell shotgun and 5 bullet rifle is about the limit. For those who have a licence to carry a handgun (other than police, most are amoured car employees), the magazine can carry a maximum of ten rounds.

If you are considering a hunting trip to Canada, please check beforehand with the Canadian Border Services Agency for details of what you can bring in and how it is to be transported.

It could be, or it may just be that CBC staffers are so conditioned to writing cagey to ‘protect’ homosexuals, that they cannot help their writing style.
