A teenager called 911 to report her angry dad was firing shots in the air.
When police arrived at the scene, they learned the frustrated father had caught the girl and her boyfriend in a compromising act.
Now he's facing criminal charges.
Officers said Ebraimi Jamshid, 50, received a notification Friday morning that the alarm was triggered at his home on Northeast Sundance Court in Hillsboro.
When he went to check it out, police said he found his 15-year-old daughter engaging in sexual activity with her 17-year-old boyfriend.
Police said Jamshid, armed with a .357 Smith & Wesson revolver, fired two shots into the air and yelled for the boyfriend to leave the house.
Police said the boy left through a window and the girl ran outside to a neighbor's home.
The bullets did not hit anyone or any homes.
Police responded to the scene at around 11:30 a.m. for a shots fired investigation.
Jamshid, 50, was arrested and charged with unlawful use of a weapon, reckless endangering and menacing. He was lodged in the Washington County Jail.
“She’s 15. He’s preventing a crime.”
It does not appear to be a crime as the state has a three year rule extending down to age 12.
He is 17, she is 15.
It possibly is Farsi, as in being Persian, they aren’t that big on de-capitating.
Not even a misdemeanor? Clearly I grew up in the wrong state!
Why wasn’t the kid arrested for statutory rape?
Two felonies, the rest are misdemeanors. Never know what the DA will charge, but Washington County is known around here for very aggressive prosecutors and hanging judges.
Here’s the worst of it: If dad goes down on two felony counts with a firearm, he’ll be looking at 5 years in prison under those wonderful, progressive Oregon laws.
Because you can’t be guilty of statutory rape if you are also a minor.

I doubt that I would have wasted the ammo, but I do live in the sticks, own 5 acres and have a backhoe.
I’d bet that poor dad never dreamed he would get into trouble...especially this much trouble. He could have claimed that he thought his daughter was being raped.
Let’s see— he responded to a burglary alarm, found a man raping his daughter, fired into the ceiling in hopes of stopping the assault and cause the rapist to flee. It wasn’t until right after he shot that he realized/learned that the sex was consensual and not a rape of his child.
Not guilty.
Talk to the kid in prison in Florida. He was seventeen and had sex with his 15yo GF. He’s in for twenty.

Unless there is more to this case, I think prosecuting Jamshid is a waste of state resources.
He should have called CPS, child protective Services.
The girl will probably be murdered by her father.
