I am actually tearing up right now as I contemplate how far we have fallen in so short a time. Cynicism has replaced trust in our legal system.

The charges were consistent with him having a joint or two in his pocket. Saying he appeared under the influence is a rationale for probable cause.

The big concern here is the “Amber Alert” system. It’s supposed to be reserved for when kids are in imminent danger. It’s very powerful and pervasive, and in a case like that it’s a very good thing. Abusing it or overusing it is dangerous.

In this case, it doesn’t sound like the kids are in danger. Was it triggered because the Hakkens defied the government?

What no one in the MSM is talking about is the mother. I am willing to bet that she wasn’t charged with anything. What I have learned over the years about the travesty called ‘family court’ is the following. They cannot take custody from one parent as long as that parent is still married to a spouse. The family court will force a separation or divorce on the couple before granting the custody to the non-charged spouse. So if the mother here was unwilling to submit to a divorce, she too lost custody. A true family breakup.

We also need to learn about the ‘drug charges’. If the father was in Colorado or another liberal state would he have been charged for the same marijuana allegation?
