I didn’t find his remarks offensive at all, but I did think they were not well-thought-out. Homosexual marriage is unlikely to result in the legalization of bestiality, for instance, because there is a very strong lobby to protect animals. It’s also unlikely to result in the legalization of pedophilia, because there is also a strong lobby to protect children (even though NAMBLA wishes it was otherwise).

What he *should* have said, because it’s true, is that the legalization of homosexual marriage is quite likely to result in any sort of adult-adult relationship being legalized. So we could easily see legal polygamy, polyandry, and polyamorous (such as a “line” marriage or group marriage) as a result of the legalization of homosexuality. I *do* see any or all of those coming down the pike. I wish Dr. Carson had actually taken the time to think about the issue before talking about it. Because I think he’s a good guy, very intelligent, and spot-on about many issues.

Rush discussed a study this past week that stated apologizing is bad and makes people feel bad. Apparently NOT apologizing is empowering. Perhaps some Republicans need to try this strategy.

Also in Rush's discussion late in the week, he mentioned that sometimes the "authority" figures at a school can even force an apology from the wrong side in a dispute. He was talking with a caller and said in essence that she was assuming that there is an objective truth at hand. I get from the gist of it that he was alluding to the lavender mafia forcing an apology from Mr. Carson who'd said nothing wrong (only stated an inconvenient truth). The Sex Positive Agenda seeks NO moral judgments over sexual pairings of any kind (regardless of sex, age, relation, marital status, number, or species of partner). It isn't about genetics. It is about being of free will to do ANYTHING that gets your rocks off. That is the agenda at stake. Planned Parenthood doesn't oppose abstinence because "it doesn't work" (no matter what they publicly say); they oppose it because it is unfathomable in their philosophy to NOT act on sexual impulses.
