Funny thing is that the district has a tea party conservative representative, Kerry Bentivolio who replaced Thaddeus McCotter.

A lot of Irish and Polish Catholics still there. That’s McCotter’s and Mike Cox’s home. It’s still one of few areas in Wayne County that often votes for a conservative (social more than fiscal)
