The primary next year is gonna be so sweet.

Many of us thought that 6 years ago. It turned out to be a cake walk. I expect that again. He's been in too long. He know who to get FED money and has significant influence. He will be there until he or Providence decide otherwise.

Sudafed and the like is used to make some kind of designer drug...So because of this, you get this...have to show your driver’s license and sign for it.

Well, that might make sense if the cops were looking at those signatures and keeping an eye on the real "frequent flyers". If they don't watch them (do we know whether they do or not?) and it's just an annoying fake-deterrent, maybe its worth raising a rukus.

Nothing is going to be said that will be worth hearing or repeating. These shows are really getting pathetic.

Surely, in a country of more than 300 million people there must be some with ideas about our political and economic and social condition that deserve to be heard.

Agree 100%.

Instead, we get "low/controlled information" Sunday Propaganda Shows, with the same propagandists week after week.

Can you please thumbnail Stockman's comments?

sorry, I've forgotten a lot of what he said. He was talking about the real unemployment figures, basically saying we are not on a road to recovery given the current political direction.

I found this piece from the NY Times where he's predicting gloom and doom. State-Wrecked: The Corruption of Capitalism in America (He wasn't quite that "gloom and doomy" this am.) I don't agree with everything he says in the Times' piece, but he does make some good points.

Awesome. We got a new cat and he's been catching voles. He like to play with them before dispatching them—sometimes he even lets them go...for later torture.

Voles are the reason I stopped using raised beds. It kept the soil so fluffy the voles had no problem digging tunnels and eating everything in the bed. So I went to flat earth. Then I found my plants did better here in the Summer because the raised bed's soil got too hot and dried out in the merciless Southern Sun... In fact, I tried planting my corn in a ditch/depression last year, rather than a raised row, and it actually did better.

So in the long run the voles taught me a thing or two.

I watched MTP and heard some of the most inane, idiotic, uninformed, IOW, STUPID comments you could imagine. By both party’s representatives.

“I’ve forgotten a lot of what he said. He was talking about the real unemployment figures, basically saying we are not on a road to recovery given the current political direction.”

Someone on MTP said the employment #s from Friday shows we are in a strong recovery. I blew a sweet roll out of my left nostril. It hit the wall of the LR!!

Yep, the media agenda to portray an improving economy by using Democrat Economist find “Unexpected” that March job creation estimates are off, the average estimate in one economist survey was around 190,000...How could the economist be so far off?

And most people will never know as the media will consult more Democrat Economist to continue this an immature ideological game instead of using common sense macroeconomics, 1. Allow the private sector resources for economic growth, and 2. Control cost.

Yes, they should use a “jobs that are saved or created” category, it worked so good for the stimulus bill...

Well I am still ticked off about the $668 Billion per year we spend on 126 different anti poverty programs.

Economists were saying 190,000 when it was only 88,000? I didn’t realize that. I believe it. Some of these folks will do anything to pretend everything’s just fine. What was interesting this am on ABC was that there seemed to be only one on the panel, Paul Krugman, who was pushing the party line. Normally it’s 4 to 1, with the 1 being a conservative.....not the other way around. It was much more pleasant to watch.

Thanks, maica. Stockman was quite interesting this am. THere’s plenty to agree with him on, and some to disagree. There are some good customer reviews at the link you provided......now I won’t have to suffer through 768(???!!!) pages by reading his book.

I did not know that about moles. I don’t think I’ve ever had a problem with voles. Moles, on the other hand.......

....they are a challenge. Last year I think I “handled” 6 or 7 of them. I see I already have one in the front yard digging a tunnel along the length of the sidewalk. Yay. :-(
