Actually, I think it's more the Green-eyed monster of Jealousy rearing it's ugly head.

Ann realizes that Sarah Palin is the real deal, and because of her Political Whoredom, she can no longer be trusted and she is no longer the standard bearer of conservatism, but just another money-grubbing, power-grubbing political hack.
