But that seems confused. Sovereign citizen theory is a form of tax revolt and is closer to anarchy than traditional Christian conservatism. Somebody has muddied the waters here and it needs to be sorted what part of this is ignorance and what part malice forethought. I would not be surprised if the Southern Poverty Law Center was involved.

That hate group has had the ears of the Feds for a long time, and though they do track some genuine terrorist types, have lumped in an awful lot of folks on the Right.
