“conservatives are being “vote split”

This is how mccain won the presidential primary.....”
*******************************************************************
Except South Carolina election rules are more like those of Texas. If a candidate in a primary doesn’t get a majority of the vote in that primary, there is a run off (of the top two vote getters) to see who will run in the general election. That was the route that Tim Scott traveled in 2010 —winning the run-off and then advancing to the general election which he won and went to the US House of Reps.

A similar approach was taken by Ted Cruz in Texas. Cruz (along with other candidates) kept David Dewhurst (the RINO GOPe candidate) from getting 50% of the vote in the primary. Dewhurst and Cruz advanced to the run-off where Conservatives rallied around Cruz and sent him to victory.

So I say the more the merrier in the 2014 Republican Senatorial primary. Let’s force little Lindsey into a run-off and then rally around his conservative opponent in that run-off.

I’d actually like to see one of Graham’s primary opponents be of the “effete” persuasion (not that there’s anything wrong with that) to further take votes from him.
