I am of the opinion that a lot of preachers have a deep and abiding commitment to the ideal that they shouldn’t have to work for a living rather than ANY commitment to the Lord.
When channel surfing (back when I had TV) I used to pause at any Televangelist to see how long it was before they were asking for money - it didn’t take long - usually just long enough to discern that they were in the midst of an appeal to send them money already. Promising riches on this Earth in reward for sending them money - a principle found NOWHERE in the Bible - dare I say - even directly in contradiction to it.
