Katrina Trinko has most of the particulars at the Corner. Quote: “One contentious issue among the senators is whether immigrants who are clearly part of gangs but who have no criminal record will be allowed to obtain legal status.”

Amnesty fever: Catch it.

Securing the border and ending illegal immigration. The gang has focused on the border with Mexico, and did not consider serious changes to the Canadian border. If the legislation passes, the Department of Homeland Security will be required to be able to surveil the entire border at all times (using technology, such as drones) and to be successfully catching nine out of ten people trying to cross the border (emphasis AP). DHS will be given six months to come up with a plan to accomplish this, and then must issue a notice of commencement that they have begun to implement the enforcement policies. When five years have passed, DHS must be meeting these goals; if not, a commission will then devise additional policies that DHS will have to implement......

I wonder if Rand Paul will vote for this traitorous bill given he has his own plan to “Normalize” (RE: Amnesty) the 30 million+ illegal aliens currently in our country?

Any committee to which Chuck Shumer belongs cannot be trusted as far as it can be thrown. Any agreement which has his imprimatur isn't worth the paper it is printed on.

And the republicans involved here are not much better. No sale.

We need to go after Mexican gangs under RICO. As extensions of the Mexican crime families / drug lords, it’s like prosecuting the mafia.

Let’s all remind the Traitors of Eight of the LAWS that
Were passed in 86 to enforce the Border that 30 years later
Still is not in place AND the directives from the White House
To ignore the ones they choose.

This is all about pandering for votes that will end up destroying America.
Let’s also tell the truth about how many are here. 11 million
Is only approx. 1/3 of the true number and these Traitors know it.

The border is not secure. Border Patrol agents on Otay Mesa in San Diego have told me that they have no idea how many tunnels there are underneath the border. The border fence ends a few miles east of the Otay Mesa Port of entry where the terrain becomes hilly. There is so much foot traffic on Otay Mesa you can clearly see the trails from miles away. The illegals are pounding those trails every night. Of course Janet Napolitano will always say that the border is secure. You cannot tell if the border is secure by looking at the fence. There also is a lot of illegal boat traffic brining illeagals into California. I talk to Mexicans in Tijuana and they tell me that for $5,000 the smugglers will deliver the illegals to their destination. The $5,000 is payable only if the illegal is delivered.

Those stupid senators like McCain and Schumer have no idea what is going on at the border.

Spent two years at El Paso during Reagan years. There was no tunnel at Juarez-El Paso border. Not much of a Rio Grande to wade across either.

Border security was a joke at the time, still is now.

Are we talking about the DOJ that is basically in contempt of court for not turning over doc to an ovesight committee? The agency responsible for illegal gun running across the border into Mexico?

I’m sceptical.

We have upwards of 40 million illegal aliens in this country...No one will be able to tell the difference at this point.

It's a lawless free for all, all sponsored and supported by your own bloated government, who's taking your money to subsidize, pander to, feed, medicate and offer prizes to millions of these criminals.

Clearly millions of Mexicans breaking our laws and rules are the elected officials favorite people.

All this, while those in D.C. spend all their time going to tax paid luncheons and parties, with your money, while they concoct new laws, fines and fees for you to obey and pay...

As the audience of fools applaud..

There are thousands of trails marked by tons of garbage. I live very far from the border but I am familiar with this, McCain and Flake are both from Arizona but they pretend to be cluesless as to what is going on along the border.
