It seems those that tried desperately to warn of such an insidious plot had hit the bullseye with their warnings after all. News came from multiple NY State based firearms enthusiast websites late Friday that confiscations of Pistol Owner ID Cards, as well as firearms and accessories has commenced in NY under the provisions of the horribly flawed, draconian and blatantly unconstitutional NY SAFE Act.
Those folks having their weapons and FID cards confiscated have been discovered to have been prescribed multiple different types of psychotropic drugs...

In the November/December 1987 issue of The Humanist magazine, a psychotherapist, Dr. Wendell Watters, explains how he believes Christianity may harm mental health. This is not a new charge. The followers of Christ have been accused of mental illness before (Acts 26:24; 2 Cor. 5:13), and even the founder of Christianity Himself was charged with being out of His mind (Mk. 3:21; Jn. 10:20). People tend to make this accusation when they find the doctrines of Christianity hard to accept. The following is a response to various views this humanist sets forth in his treatise on “Christianity and Mental Health.” (The page numbers refer to the article.)
Proselytization
Dr. Watters discusses what he says are two powerful manipulative tools of the church: proselytization and dualism. Concerning proselytization or evangelization, he states that the Great Commission (Mt. 28:19, 20) caused “… a frenzied commitment to spreading the good news and winning new converts—a commitment that was foreign to all other religions” (p. 6). He says that after Constantine’s conversion the church employed methods of torture to persuade people to be converted. Dr. Watters believes the impetus for torturous methods of persuasion were initiated by Paul:

According to the article, one of the cases took place in Erie County.
On January 24, 2013 the Erie County Sheriff’s PBA unanimously passed a resolution of non-support for the NYS Safe Act.
Erie County Sheriff Tim Howard has been very vocal against the SAFE ACT, so why has he allowed this? Did Erie County deputies take part in these raids or did the Sheriff give permission? If so, he has violated his oath and needs to be held accountable along with the raiders.

Exactly, and the people that have shot places up that were taking AD’s MSRI’s or SSRI’s may have been improperly diagnosed, or are not being treated correctly. Or they are just psycho scumbags to begin with.
People like me should not be thrown into that category. I take effexor, because it actually DOES work for me. I have a much easier time controlling my mood swings while taking it, it’s a wonderful drug, and it has helped me a lot.

I have heard many times the left calling conservatives “mentally ill”. Right here on FR I routinely read conservatives labeling liberals as such. Both view points cannot be factual, but WHO is setting the policies which define mental illness is where the slope gets slippery. Presently we are faced with anti-Americans elected and appointed defining all kinds of policies and who don’t give a whit about the constitution nor their oaths to it or about what is best for America. It won’t take them long now to declare conservatives can’t own guns under whatever guise they wish. So, let’s preempt them and pass a law in every state as the 10A provides for that declares all who are demonstrably anti-constiutional cannot own weapons, run for any elected office or vote, nor work as a journalist. Those who can repeat the pledge of allegiance from memory without reservation and are not felons get their 2A rights. Those who believe 9 rounds are enough and 11 are too many, don’t. What?, I am still free enough to dream. :)

I moved out of there last year, I couldn’t take it anymore. It’s like North Korea there now, but with food. I wouldn’t even say it’s a socialist republic, it’s more of a despotic state at least in New York city under despot Mike Bloomberg. The city controls every aspect of the individuals life and the constitution is completely non-existent. People make fun of the soda, smoking, eating ban, I tell them that is the LEAST of what goes on in that city.
