Imprecise language bothers me, and while all kinds of attacks and criticism can be heaped onto Toomey, I just don’t understand the analysis that zero was gained from defeating Specter, and that Toomey is probably “worse” than Specter.

Specter hounded us for 30 years and even ran for president to make the GOP a pro-abortion party, it takes a lot more than being bad to be worse than what Specter did to us for 30 years.

There is no apples to apples direct comparison. Try to see where I am coming from. Toomey just surrendered on the only viable issue conservatives still have left. If he won’t protect the easiest ground, how can he triumph on the harder ground. The time when Specter Senator was a different ball game. But the sad fact is, Specter would probably be helping gun rights more today, than Toomey is.
