I would think this pretty well kills the GOP. I don’t know just who they think is gonna vote for them after this.
I have such a deep level of hate and mistrust for people like Bloomberg, that he could tell me my hair is on fire and I would not believe him.
This bill is the third-party trip wire people have been either waiting for or dreading. Pat Toomey has blundered his way into becoming the poster boy for the end of the charade as we know it, but there are so many other weak links in the GOP chain that it couldn't even support its own weight anymore with or without his fecklessness. Why in the F*** anyone in the GOP so much as hinted a lack of support for a filibuster is proof to me that they sat down at the table with the intent to throw their cards away no matter what hand they were dealt.
If someone like Rand Paul or Ted Cruz walks away from the Republican party and immediately makes his case eloquently and succinctly, the dilapidated old GOP tent is going to empty out very fast; in their hearts, an enormous number of people will be only too glad to dump baggage the like John McCain and the rest of the corrupt bastards clubbers. We icky flyover tea party types embarass them? I've got a news flash news for the GOP-e that isn't agitprop, push-polling boilerplate from OFA: we DESPISE you.
Unfortunately, the Whig-ification of the GOP will leave the whole bag to the Communists, but to the victors go the spoils, and the Pat Toomeys of the world are never victors.
