Since my last post, I have done much gooooooooogle searching for 7.63x39 ammo or reloading dies. None to be found. I suspect no such caliber exists. Misprints for 7.62x39 abound. I am a Viet Nam vet. (1st Cavalry Div 11B CIB 1970-71) I heard rumors of ammo interchangeability at the time, and later, but saw no examples of same. Sounds like just another myth about Viet Nam.

Biden is so generous with dishing out his entertaining stupidity quotes because he wants to make up for his fact that he’s the cheapest man to ever sit in the Vice President’s chair.
What’s interesting about Biden’s lack of generosity is that when Obama had him vetted, it raised no flags that Biden doesn’t do charity. Obama probably thought $368 a year in charity was pretty high. Or, perhaps Obama calculated (correctly) that the likes of Stephanopoulos and Diane Sawyer and their Left Wing Media Battalion would keep their mouths shut.

When my Dad was a kid, they would skinny-dip in a quarry pond. One day when they went to get their clothes, someone started shooting a .22 at them. Don’t recall if they finally got their clothes or had to haul out of there bare-azzed. That would ave been in the mid-1930’s.
Do you know anyone who will volunteer to be shot at ten feet with number eight birdshot? I think the damage to the belly will be somewhat worse than the damage to that door.

It’s been tested quite a bit. Birdshot is not very effective and should not be used for home/self defense. There’s not really an argument there.

Wounding the goblin is the very last thing you want to do. Why anyone would bother with birdshot is totally beyond me. There are so many good tests available to show how poorly it performs. Yet it keeps coming up over and over again.
Birdshot is very inexpensive. If it were effective, police and military shotguns would be loaded with it.
If you want to fire birdshot at an intruder, then load your pistols with shotshells, too. It’s effective right? They make versions that will cycle in a semi, too. So go ahead and load up.

Well, I would certainly never consider using it at any real distance but I don’t think a load of number eight at ten feet would be anything to be happy about. I’ve got a few birdshot shells along with some buckshot, maybe I’ll do my own test. As far as loading a pistol with it I would not even consider it.
