A shop owner armed only with a baseball bat successfully fended off a pair of gun-wielding thieves Tuesday, in an encounter caught on surveillance video.
Nine shots were fired by the perpetrators at the Quizhpe's Gifts and Sports store in Chicago, reports CBS Station WBBM.

The gunman's accomplice walked behind the counter where he was met by Quizhpe wielding a baseball bat.
A shot was fired, and as seen on the video the accomplice hobbled away, possibly shot in the leg by his partner.
The gunman then fires at Quizhpe, who strikes the robber repeatedly with the bat.

I swear most people have no clue just how effective a baseball bat can be againts multiple opponents.

The store owner will be arrested for being racist and non-compliant with The Regime’s plans to redistribute goods and fairness to those less fortunate from the evil 1 percenters to “working families” in the people’s paradise.
Gee did those felons comply with Chicago’s draconian gun control laws? Law abiding citizens must defend their property with baseball bats while criminals can get all the guns they want.
I watched the video and I give the shop owner props for his courage.... but I’m pretty sure he’d have no chance hitting a curve ball. :)
I’m impressed. I think I’m a fairly gutsy guy, but I just do not compare to the merchant - I’m a S&W guy, not a Louisville Slugger fan. He’s lucky (okay it’s not that unusual for criminals, but still) that the thugs thought they needed to be within baseball bat range to have a chance of hitting him with a pistol shot.
A shop owner should let the bandit have anything they want,until they touch the electric door.

I dont know the exact number but here in Chicago, a lot of hispanic/Arabic store owners have killed on the south side and one near the old Cabrini Green area.
With his back against the wall and the baseball bat near his hand, i guess he figured, why not go out swinging. Im sitting here at lunch watching this and cheering. Glad things turned out well for him and his family.
That shop keeper needs a 12 gauge or a handgun to finish the job. He is lucky to be alive! Now, “hoodie” will do a couple years and probably try to finish what he started.
