These Senators need hammering. Not sure about the tactics, but this must be STOPPED.

They voted without ever looking at the bill.

Un Believable.

CLOTURE

Cloture is a motion or process in parliamentary procedure aimed at bringing debate to a quick end. It is also called closure or, informally, a guillotine.

It’s time to admit that the vast majority of congresscritters are indeed critters....and should be treated with as much respect as libtards treat a foetus.

Their argument was that Reid said they could debate the bill and offer amendments. When harry ends debate and allows no amendments to be voted on we’ll see how they explain their vote.

Tom Coburn is the biggest disappointment by far.

After the dust and shock settled, of seeing who are the turncoats, this whole thing is insane because there was a majority of them who voted on a bill that's has not even been given to ail members as being a completed bill. They don't even know what they have voted in to debate in making this another sham/a march onto gun control/national registry..Yes, unreal.

These 17 in effect voted for the communists taking away guns. They should no longer be considered Republicans and if possible retire them the next election cycle for each one.

I usually help the patriots that stand strong even if some things they do, I could disagree over. I will not give a penny to any of those on that list.

Not only that, but any amendments as well. These reports are totally wrong. These folks need to brush up on Senate procedure. This was a meaningless vote.

Until a few years ago, no one ever even had to have a cloture vote to proceed to a bill unless one or two Senators were objecting to proceeding. It just didn’t happen. Many bills died on filibusters, but not before the amendment process started. I think the world will look very different a week from now as far as who is voting where on this thing - both R’s and D’s.

These bloggers have become so used to not seeing a bill actually considered and opened for amendment in the Senate that they think this vote is determinate of something as far as the outcome. Just keep the heat on and we shall see.

We’re told that the vote allowed the bill to proceed with the provision that it receives free opportunity for amending and free and full opportunity for debating.

That means there will be other opportunities for filibustering or killing the bill.

And it still has to pass the House, no matter what comes out of the Senate.
